I really have been knitting some

I just haven't had time to post photos. I've been working on the sock for the Six Socks Knitalong. Working on T3. Wanting to make a baby hat out of the Summer Interweave Knits and not liking that the pattern is in a chart and so tiny that when I tried to work with it my eyes started watering.

I promise I'll try to post some knitting photos this weekend. We are starting on the boys room on monday, and I also have gotten the bright idea to paint the entry way hall and the hall with the bedrooms on it. *sigh* I must be totally nuts.

Why is it that I can't stay focused on one project?? I'm jumping around like a Kangaroo on speed or something. Trying to force myself to finish stuff before starting more new stuff. Its not working very well though. Can you say no self control????

Well..off for now..the yard boy is coming soon and when he's done I have to put out bug stuff with the spreader and figure out dinner and do laundry etc etc. Damn thats sooooo boring. LOL

I hate storms

Specially when they knock out power...for ....23 hours or so.

BBQ'd some burgers and brats last night. Storm started coming up and it got really windy. I saw sparks flying across my back window. Thought It was the bbq grill got knocked over and the coals were blowing. Nope..not a chance. There was a power line in a tree behind my house and it was sparking and catching the tree on fire. It looked like someone was welding in the tree. I was afraid it was going to catch my fence on fire or..the neighbor behind me. Anywho...call 911 at 8:30...call 911 at 9:00, right about then the transformer blew KAAAAAAAAABOOOM. NO power. Tried to call the electric company a gazillion times and didn't get anyone. They were too busy. The fire dept. finally showed up around 11 and said ...yep it was on fire (it had gone out from the rain since there was no more juice in the lines), said they'd call the electric company for me and left.

So ..after two more calls to the electricity company I finally just now got power. I had put all my refrigerated food in ice chests and took all my freezer foods to my moms house to put in her freezer.

One thing I gotta say...never knit by candle light. *sigh*

oh..and here's the bed set we ended up getting. Found it on sale cheap at Mervyn's ($50 for everything) I bought a white sheet to make her a curtain since the purple one no longer matches.

Still not completey done. She's getting a new bed set and I ordered a shelf for her mini mug collection. I hope she gets done soon..my living room's a mess. Had to bring everything in last night cuz we had a storm *sigh*

Oh..I cast on my cloverleaf socks last nite too...pictures of that later.

Today's Progress

Well..this turned out to be a rather interesting day. We were cleaning and I was going to touch up some of the mess the boys did on the girls walls with crayons and markers and their grandparents stopped by and decided I needed to paint all the walls. They went and got me a gallon of paint and painting kit (rollers etc) and I set to work painting while the girl sorted the stuff outside. She got 4 39 gallon trash bags of trash, 4 of garage sale stuff. I have one more wall to paint tomorrow and we can put everything back in the room.

Ahh...School's out...

My kids are all home. Today we start doing a Clean Sweep of our house. We are doing one room at a time and taking everything out of the room and sorting it out. Doing a keep and sell pile and a huge trash can. *grin* Starting with the daughters room *shudder* We wont be doing the redecorationg they do on the show cuz I'm too broke but I'm going to clean the carpets and wash the walls down. and wash the furniture and stuff. I hope this works out well...and I think it will.

I'm taking before and after photos so that we can see the difference.

So anyway..there won't be much posting going on around here til the evenings because I'll be pretty busy during the day.
